Why Force Free?
Most people would agree that now more than ever, people are crazy in love with their dogs. They’ve taken over our homes, sleeping in our beds and cuddling on our couches. Their love is unconditional, and their support, relentless. The wait for us to return begins the moment that we leave. They lickour tears, listen without judgement, and love us despite ourludicrous and many time impossible expectations. They attempt to learn our language, although we are the higher thinking species.There’s a reason why we call them companion animals and want what’s in their best interest. What’s eluding pet owners is clear and consistent information on treatment and training best practices.
With all that being said, it is still mindblowing to us that people would like to use adversive/punishment based training methods. Apple Valley Pit Crew uses only force free training methods.
